#StopJackdaw Week of Action 20-27 August

Posted on August 22, 2022

The Stop Jackdaw Week of Action runs from 20th until the 27th August. The purpose of the week of action is to raise awareness of the UK Government’s huge hypocrisy in approving new fossil fuel projects in the midst of a climate and cost of living crisis, as they both lock us into a high emissions trajectory for decades to come, and swell the profits of the fossil fuel industry while people can’t afford to pay their energy bills. We need a transition to affordable and reliable renewable energy now. There’s more information on the Stop Jackdaw website, but if you can this week, talk to someone new about this as it’s not something that many people know a lot about.
